Sewer clean-out are vital to maintaining your sewer line and for emergency access purposes. In many cases the clean-out are located inside the basement and can get pretty messy when you have to access them for sewer line cleaning maintenance.
We recommend installing clean outs on the outsides of the house or building between 2 to 3 feet away. This distance will give you enough room to work and run a snake into your sewer line for maintenance.
Back-flow valves are typically used when your on a basement with a shallow sewer mainline in the right of way. If the mainline backs up, the sewer can potentially follow your existing sewer line, and into your house or basement, and that's not good.
